Norway in a nutshell。Day4。Voss 挪威縮影之沃斯小鎮
There were some activities hold by hostel, they could be free or just pay few. We joined a hiking activity toward Mt. Hanguren, that is mountain nearby hostel with altitude about 660 m. We spent around 2 and half hour for one way, walked slowly. And we took cable car for returning.
It was surprising that only us joined the hiking this day, so we could follow our walking speed. The whole route could be divided roughly as two kind of road. Firstly it was asphalt road until Voss Folk Museum. From museum, we turned to a footpath on the right hand side of the parking lot, it goes all the way to Mt. Hanguren. The footpath is steep, it was more difficult to hike compared to our previous hiking route in Flåm.
Our route was the red one that was close to the cable car line.
Our guider introduced us some local plants, we could try to taste some of them,
it was interesting.
Currant berries, rich in vitamin C. 醋栗，有豐富維他命C。
Yarrow, it can be used as tea.
This is Voss Folk Museum and the view of lake from here, it was around one third of our whole hiking distance. It is also ok to drive here if you have car. After museum, it would be difficult route. Voss Folk Museum is a local museum whose purpose is to preserve items of historic interest. When it was founded in 1917, one of its purpose was to preserve the old farmstead at Mølster.
This is the footpath toward Mt. Hanguren, it was steep, and muddy in some parts. We walked slowly, but our guider walked fast, she could even do extra exercise when stop for waiting us, has really good physical.
On our way to top, we saw some people paragliding over sky. Voss is one of the most famous flying sites in Norway.
Finally, we reached the cable car station on top of mountain. This was really good view when we looked down the Voss town, lake Vangsvatnet and surrounding peaks. At a short moment, I felt that I was in Queenstown in New Zealand. The paragliding, lake and cable car are my memory about Queenstown, and they gathered this day, with the similar scenery in Voss.
After downhill, we picked up our luggage,
would leave Voss go our last stop in Norway - Bergen.
