Finland。Porvoo & Sipoo。A cycling trip 探訪兩個小鎮的自行車之旅
The Sun is lazy now, it works just 5-6 hours per day. However, it is difficult to see the sun even in the morning, because it usually cloudy. In my trip day, it was cloudy as usually, moreover, I met a small snowing after just leaving home a bit. But it still nice to see the snow in the forest, so tranquil~
We cycled along the road, some sections have cycling path. I felt not too long time then met the first town- Sipoo. This is a town with population about 19000. First we saw is the big church, and old church.
Big and new church新教堂
Old church, it brought me the historical atmosphere. The tomb in front of the church belong to the people who died in the wars.

Keeping going, we entered the Sipoo city center gradually. There were more people here, looked like some christmas activities were holding. Variety stands, Santa Claus, choir etc., so bustling.
Lovely dogs pulling small cars, that cute baby seems was interested in it~
The road we went along was part of "King's Road", (Thanks my friend for introducing ), this was built as a mailing route by King of Sweden in 14th century. This road starting from Bergen of Norway, passing through Sweden, Finland and ending in Russia.
Cycled along this king's road, the section from Vantaa to Sipoo were flat and easier, then became more difficult from after Sipoo to Porvoo, there were many hills.
The view beside the road, these snow was fresh, from morning of this day.
We arrived Porvoo about 1pm. Porvoo is one of the earlier towns in Finland, the records can back to 14th century. There are many old buildings in the old town of Porvoo, looked so beautiful~~

Some scenes of old town, the strong Christmas atmosphere was coming~ In my opinions, it was similar to the Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia. Both of them were lovely~~ I also tried the traditional christmas drink Glögi, it was sold just during the christmas season.
Around 2:30pm, prepared backing home. We didn't take a break on our way home, because I was sweating and easier to get cold if the body temperature cool down. Moreover, it was more and more dark~~
The night view of new church in Sipoo
It was around 5pm when arrived home, it let me a little surprised because the sky looked like midnight...
The cycling record of this trip, thanks Timo.
It was pity that no sunlight this day, so the photos not beautiful. The most beautiful should be summer, so planning to come here again in the summer. However, winter also nice to experience the Old Town's christmas atmosphere.
